A small Rose and a small pink Hybiscus in watercolor

Today I have to share two paintings.

The first one is a Pink Hybiscus and the second one a small Rose painting, both painted in watercolor on 140 Lb coldpressed paper.

The Pink in the Hibiscus was created with Permanent Rose, Phthalo Blue and some Brillant Purple. For the warm areas I used Napthol Red from M. Graham, an absolutely beautiful colour.

The colours in the Rose are created with some Indian Yellow, Translucent Orange, a touch of Permanent Rose, Alizarin Crimson and Phthalo Blue.

I really like the cool background in this one, a nice contrast to the orange in the Rose.

Deutsch: Heute habe ich zwei Bilder zu zeigen.

Das erste ist ein Rosa-Pinkfarbener Hibiscus und das zweite ist ein kleines Rosengemälde, beide gemalt in Aquarell auf 300 g kaltgepresstem Papier.

Für die Farben in dem Hibiscus nahm ich Permanent Rose, Phthalo Blue und etwas Brillant Purple. Für die warmen Bereiche benutzte ich Napthol Red von M. Graham, eine wirklich schöne Farbe.

Für die Farben in der Rose benutzte ich etwas  Indian Yellow, Translucent Orange, etwas Permanent Rose, Alizarin Crimson und Phthalo Blue.

Ich mag besonders den kühlen Hintergrund in diesem Rosenbild, ein schöner Kontrast zu dem Orange in der Rose.
