I painted more and more roses in the past time. Here I am displaying some of them. Each is 6"x6" (15x15 cm) and each is painted on 140 Lb hotpressed paper.

It looks great to see the Roses displayed together and it makes absolutely much fun to create them.

And here is my newest figurative painting of a young girl/woman standing on a bridge and enjoying the moment in the sun. It is painted on 140 Lb coldpressed watercolor paper, stretched over stretcher bars, size is 20"x28" (50x70 cm).

While working on some other projects I couldn't resist to do some Rose paintings.

Here are a few. Pink Roses, white Roses and a Yellow Rose. Some are painted on 140 Lb coldpressed paper, others on hotpressed paper and others on the heavier 340 Lb coldpressed paper. I like all three surfaces.

I am still working on my large figurative painting - I hope it will be finished in the next days. But I really needed a break from this and so I did some Rose paintings. The Red and Yellow Rose are small ones, 6x6 inch. The Orange Rose is in the size 6x16 inch. All three are done in watercolor and painted on stretched watercolor canvas.

This Original Watercolor painting of a Hollyhock is my latest work. It is painted on hotpressed Watercolor paper and size is 6"x6".

Actually this Hollyhock has a lemon yellow colour but it was surrounded from a lot of green which is shining through the delicate petals.

I have painted this flower with using Lemon Yellow and Sap Green. For the stronger greens I added some phthalo blue. Only in the center I used some warm yellow (Indian Yellow and Translucent Orange).

I really had fun to create all the folds and I like the dramatic look of this painting.

This are my latest small watercolor paintings. A Yellow Dahlia and a Blue Hydrangea. Both are painted on coldpressed Arches watercolor paper. The size of the Yellow Dahlia is 5"x7" and the Blue Hydrangea is 6x6 inch. I really had fun to paint both paintings and to play with the colours. Hope you like them, too!

This rose watercolor painting is another one of my small series. It is the Rose Golden Celebration, one of David Austin's roses. Size is this time not really 4"x4", it is around 3,8" x3,5". I really have fun doing this small paintings and there will come more, but my next work is a bit larger. I want to do another figurative work and it will be 11"x14".
