Nothing is so beautiful like a Rose. My rose paintings are created in different sizes from 4"x4" up to large canvas paintings. I am using only high quality paints like Schmincke, Winsor and Newton, Rembrandt, M. Graham, Daniel Smith and others to create them. My Rose Paintings in watercolor are painted on hotpressed or coldpressed paper, Textured Claybord (Aquabord), paper stretched over stretcher bars or Reeves Watercolor board. For my rose paintings in oil I am using stretched canvas or panel.
A lot of these painted roses are growing in my own garden. This makes it easier for me to observe them and to watch them growing from the beginning bud to the full rose until the end of the blooming. This is important for me as artist to know much about my subject which I want to paint. I love to create them in a realistic style - in romantic realism.
