The Story Behind the Little Floral Poems

There are flowers that seem to ask for a large painting – generous blooms that need space for all their petals, colors and movement. But there are also the quieter discoveries: a small wildflower beside the path, the graceful curve of a stem, a seed head or a single blossom that catches my attention in the garden.

Not every flower needs to become a large and time-consuming work. And yet, when a subject touches me, I still feel the desire to paint it. I wanted to create a place for these smaller inspirations – for all the flowers that make me want to reach for my brushes simply because they are beautiful.

This is how the Little Floral Poems began.

Their intimate 10 × 10 cm format gives me the freedom to follow my curiosity and to move from one flower to another. It allows me to capture a fleeting impression, a particular color or a delicate detail without asking the subject to become something larger than it wants to be.

Small, however, does not mean less carefully painted. Every Little Floral Poem is an original watercolor, created by hand with transparent layers, thoughtful color choices and the same love of detail that I bring to my larger paintings. Each one is signed, entirely unique and exists only once.

A Little Floral Poem can bring a quiet touch of nature to a small corner of a home, stand beautifully on its own or become part of a growing collection. It can also be a very personal gift – a small original artwork chosen especially for someone.

Together, these paintings form an ever-growing garden of individual moments: little pieces of nature, painted slowly and with care – each one a small poem written in water and color.
