Description
A Quiet Summer Moment brings together softly unfolding roses, rich green foliage and two tiny ladybirds — a gentle glimpse of life among the flowers.
The Story Behind the Painting
Roses have always fascinated me: their layered petals, changing colours and the quiet beauty of each stage of opening. In this original watercolor, pale ivory and blush pink meet warm apricot centres, surrounded by leaves and rosebuds.
I returned to this painting after a pause, giving the green background more depth and refining the delicate details. Two small ladybirds became part of the scene. These touches brought the roses forward and gave the painting the sense of a living garden — a quiet moment that invites you to look a little longer.

Colours & Atmosphere
Ivory, blush pink and warm apricot tones give the roses their delicate glow. Cool lavender and blue-green shadows describe the folds of the petals, while the deeper green foliage adds contrast and a restful garden atmosphere. The two red ladybirds are small discoveries among the flowers and leaves.
Framing Recommendation
The painting is sold unframed, so you can choose a presentation that suits your home. For lasting protection, I recommend professional conservation framing behind UV-filtering glass or acrylic, with an acid-free mat and reversible archival mounting.
A generous light-coloured mat will give the detailed rose room to breathe and will beautifully complement the botanical character of the artwork.
